Cyprus based Retail FX and CFDs brokerage group BDSwiss is continuing to build its footprint in the Far East, hiring Sophie Squillacioti as the company’s new Head of Asia.
Sophie Squillacioti joins BDSwiss from New Zealand based broker BlackBull Markets, where she was Managing Director – China. Prior to joining BlackBull in 2019 she was Managing Director – Greater China for Alpha Capital Markets (acquired by Playtech and later renamed Finalto) from 2016-2018. For nine years, from 2007-2016, Sophie was Managing Director, Head of China and APAC sales for UK online broker City Index, now part of StoneX via its acquisition of Gain Capital.
Sophie Squillacioti holds a Masters degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Columbia University, a Bachelors in Chinese Language and Literature from SOAS University of London, as well as a Bachelors in Chinese Language and Literature from Beijing Normal University. She has resided in China for the past 15 years.
