FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that leading UK online broker IG Group (LON:IGG) has promoted Nicos Demetriades to the position of Managing Director and Head of its Cyprus based operation, BrightPool Ltd.
IG established BrightPool in 2019 as a CySEC licensed entity. BrightPool is a multi-asset market-making service provider serving the greater IG Group companies.
Nicos Demetriades joined IG Group when the company first set up BrightPool, and has since been Executive Director and Head of Finance in Cyprus. Prior to IG/BrightPool he was Head of Finance and Risk Manager at Purple Trading (2017-2019), and at Spot Capital Markets (2015-2017). He worked in the Financial Services Audit Department at Ernst & Young Cyprus from 2009-2015.
