Credit Suisse announces the appointment of Pablo Carrasco as Head of Wealth Management Iberia to lead this strategic market for the bank and to continue to drive this region’s strong growth trajectory.

Mr Carrasco brings more than 20 years of experience in wealth management globally. He has been with Credit Suisse for some 15 years covering a number of leading wealth management roles.

Mr Carrasco commenced his career with Credit Suisse in Spain after starting at Banco Español de Crédito (Banesto) in Madrid but has also since gained experience in the UK, Asia and Switzerland. Most recently he has been leading the team driving the bank’s efforts with Family Offices in Europe. Prior to that he was Head of Advisory and Sales for Southern Europe.

Pablo Carrasco holds a Law Degree from the University of Navarra in Spain and a Master of Banking and Finance from Centro de Estudios Garrigues.

Mr Carrasco will be based in Madrid and will report into Robert Cielen, Head of Wealth Management Europe. He will succeed Concepción Gómez de Liaño, who has been leading Iberia Wealth Management on an ad interim basis following the departure of Iñigo Martos in mid-December. Concepción and Pablo will work closely together to ensure a seamless handover.

Robert Cielen, Head of Wealth Management Europe at Credit Suisse said:

“We are excited to announce Pablo Carrasco as the new Head of Wealth Management Iberia. With two decades of wealth management experience, a deep knowledge of our client needs and our business, I am confident that Pablo will be successful in further developing our presence in Iberia, where we have been serving our clients locally for over 30 years. We will continue to invest, grow and hire in this key market, which is of strategic importance to the bank.”

Credit Suisse is present in more than 50 countries and is one of the global leaders in wealth management. With its longstanding and broad expertise, Credit Suisse counts Iberia as one of Wealth Management Europe’s priority hubs.
